Our four teams of swimmers made waves at the Charity Splash in Westminster, swimming over 500 lengths or 15km in total.
Congratulations to all of them!
Olympic Champion Duncan Goodhew also took part in the event, and cheered on the swimmers to the finish.
We have already raised over £1,000, reaching our fundraising target. These funds will allow us to continue organising our regular FAABI events, such as our movie nights, the visits to the Tate Modern, Subbuteo tournaments, flower arranging workshops, arts and craft workshops, to name just a few, and help to foster a stronger support system for people recovering from brain injuries.
This is the second year FAABI has participated in the Splash, and we plan on doing so next year as well.
Thanks a lot again to all participants in the event, the swimmers as well as our sponsors. If you have not had the time to sponsor us yet, don’t worry as there is still time until December 8th: simply go to our MyDonate page.
