An Evening With

An ’Evening with…’ is one of fAABI’s most popular events, where a chosen guest speaker is invited to come in and give a talk about their field of work to an audience of fAABI’s clients. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family along to take part in an enjoyable evening of friendly conversation and socializing, in addition to learning more about the speaker and their line of work.

Speakers in the past have ranged from authors to Neurologists, whose stories resonate with our clients as they discussed topics ranging from challenges that they have faced, to recent developments in research regarding brain injuries.

From a young age she aspired to be an author, but it wasn’t until 2009 that her first book was published, when she won the Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Competition with her book Threads. She has since published several books for children, including The Look and Love Song; winner of the 2017 RoNA Romantic Novel of the Year. Today, her books have been published as far afield as Brazil, Australia and Japan.
